Savin Yeatman-Eiffel
A multi-talented artist, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel is the creator, producer, scriptwriter and co-director of the Franco-Japanese series “Oban Star-Racers”.
Oban Star-Racers left a lasting impression and served as the first encounter with Japanese animation for an entire generation of young viewers. An ambitious series that blended 2D and 3D animation, with a strong focus on emotion and character development, it was broadcast in over 120 countries upon its release.
After years of developing the project with a small team at the studio SAV! THE WORLD PRODUCTIONS, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel and his crew succeeded in securing funding for the series through Japanese partners. Leaving everything behind, they moved to Tokyo and spent two and a half years living and working there, collaborating closely with renowned talents such as storyboard artists Kiyoko Sayama and Souichi Masui, as well as legendary composers Yoko Kanno and Taku Iwasaki.
A passionate advocate for Japanese animation, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel continues to work closely with Japan.
