Q: When is Japan Expo being held?
A: Japan Expo usually takes place in July. Due to the sanitary situation related to Covid-19, the upcoming edition has been postponed to 2021, on July 15-18. Click here to have a look at opening hours
Q: Where is Japan Expo being held?
A: Japan Expo is taking place at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center - 93420 Villepinte - France.
Q: I don’t know how to get there. I need directions to Japan Expo.

Q: Is there parking at the event center?
A: Yes! Parking fees are on this page.
Q: The parking lots are far away from the entrance. Are there shuttles?
A: Yes, shuttles take you from the visitors’ parking lots to the entrance and back.

A: It’s all indicated onsite. You just have to follow the signs:
Q: What time does the festival open?
A: From 9.00 am if you get presale tickets or buy them online even during the event. If you buy them on site, you’ll be let in to the cashiers from 10.00 am. Opening hours are on this page
Q: What time does the festival close?
A: We close the gates at 6.00 pm everyday.
Q: I’m underage and I’m going to the festival with my friends. Will I be allowed in?
A: The entrance is allowed to underage. We advise parents to come with their children or to make sure that children and teenagers are accompanied by an adult.
If children or teenagers under 18 come without their parents they must have an authorization signed by their parents.
In any case, parents are the only ones responsible for their children.
Q: Are there smoking areas at the festival?
A: Yes, smoking areas set in the outside are made available for the attendees.
Q: Can I go to Japan Expo with my pet?
A: Animals are forbidden inside the festival. Leave them at home to avoid them a stressful day!
Q: Where can I drop off my coat or bag?
A: We have checkrooms for you to leave your bags and other items. There are 2 checkroom spots:
- one before the security checks in hall 8 to leave the items that are not allowed inside the festival (have a look at the list of forbidden of items)
- one more inside the festival, at the entrance of hall 5A
Q: How much is the checkroom?
R: €2 for a coat, €3 for a small bag, €4 for a big bag (checkroom fees may change).
Q: Can I go out of the festival to my car and then come back in?
A: No, you cannot, even for a few minutes. All exits are definitive (except for Zen and Zen+ Comfort Tickets) and if you go out, you will have to buy another ticket to get back in. If you need to leave your stuff somewhere, you can use the checkrooms.
Lost & found
Q: If I lose something at Japan Expo, how can I get it back?
A: All found items are brought back to the Info Desk during the festival. Go there to ask if yours has been found.
Q: What if it's found after I've left? How can I get it back after the show?
A: Send us an e-mail at objets-perdus[at]japan-expo.com and we'll check if it's been found. If it has, we'll get back to you.
