Screenings

Every year, Japan Expo becomes the ultimate stage for special screenings dedicated to fans of Japanese animation and cinema:

• Exclusive screenings
• Premieres, and sometimes even world premieres!
• With the presence of staff (directors, producers, writers, etc.)
• On massive screens: Yuzu (14m x 8m), Kuri (7m x 4m)

Want to watch an anime episode before its official release?
Or see a masterpiece of Japanese cinema on the big screen, one that rarely gets shown in French theaters?

At Japan Expo, screenings are usually free and don’t require a reservation!
Just grab a seat at one of the stages and enjoy the show — no extra charge!

Japan Expo officially closes its doors at 6:30 p.m.
But that doesn’t mean the fun is over! Some stages come alive in the evening with special activities like concerts, cosplay contests, and exclusive screenings.

Evening events, unless otherwise stated, are also free of charge.
However, booking is required via the Japan Expo mobile app.
Reservations work on a first come, first served basis - akin to some signing sessions.

• 1. Log in to your account using the same email address you used to purchase your ticket.
• 2. Click on the “Signings & Screenings” tab.
• 3. Select the entry ticket you want to use (the one for the current day, which must be scanned and validated at the entrance):
  • a. If you purchased your ticket through the Japan Expo ticketing system, it’s already registered in the mobile app.
  • b. If you bought your ticket from one of our partner retailers (Fnac or Ticketmaster), you’ll need to register it manually: do this before the festival by either scanning your ticket or entering the ticket code in the "My Tickets" section of your account in the app.
• 4. Click GET MY PASS, take a photo of yourself with your smartphone, and the app will generate a screening voucher — subject to availability.

Access to screenings is strictly forbidden for exhibitors, whether professional or amateur.
