Keisuke Itagaki, manga guest of honnor of Japan Expo Paris
Keisuke Itagaki, the mangaka behind Baki, is stepping up his game at Japan Expo Paris. He is one of our guests of honor for our anniversary edition.

Manga guest of honor Keisuke Itagaki is a leading figure in martial arts manga, known worldwide for his iconic Baki saga, published since 1991 and comprising more than 150 volumes across six series.
At the age of 20, Keisuke Itagaki joined the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. He was assigned to the First Airborne Brigade in Narashino for five years. At the same time, he practiced amateur boxing and competed in the national championship.
In 1991, he published the manga Baki in Weekly Shonen Champion magazine (Akita Shoten), and surpassed 100 million copies in total sales. He is currently publishing the sixth part of the series, Baki Rahen.
