Between folk country and mystical pop, Cécile CORBEL finds the inspiration for her aerial songs in her native Britany. She was twice awarded the Gold Disc for the soundtrack of studio Ghibli Arrietty, by director Hiromasa YONEBAYASHI and based on a script by Hayao MIYAZAKI.
She will be joining Misaki IWASA, a former idol of AKB48 who started a solo career. She is now an enka singer and uses her variety ballads to cast a spell on her audience. Misaki IWASA is also the official reporter for the festival culture & traditions events for the 160th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Japon.
Both deeply attached to their roots and open to world, they will sing a few solo songs and as a duo, the opening of Studio Ghibli’s anime From Up on Poppy Hill directed by Goro MIYAZAKI.
