Cosplayed in Madoka, from the anime Puella Madoka Magica, the artist Shoko NAKAGAWA arrives on the 15th anniversary stage. TV hostess, actress and above all else singer, it is with a blog she likes to call Dream Note and not Death Note that everything began…

Shining and joyful, it is a real stroke of luck, according to her, if she can live her passion 100% today. She opens up to the public and explains that her blog permits her to leave a trace but also to share her love for anime and for the otaku culture as she calls it, with people all around the world, a passion impossible to flaunt 20 years ago in her words.

Shoko NAKAGAWA had the huge responsibility to give her voice to the goddess Athéna of the famous series Saint Seya, the most difficult role she ever had to do until today, she reveals to her fans. She holds her role of dubber very dear to herself and she wishes to satisfy the spectators: “the artist has to disappear behind the character he interprets”, here may be the secret ingredient of her success as a dubber.

Peacefully seated on her chair, she admits that being younger she didn’t have that many friends but that it doesn’t bother her, because happiness is lived on a daily basis and that “it is the present moment that is the most exciting”!

Now is the time for the live drawing. Shoko stands up and challenges the public to guess what she is about to draw. Being a cat lover we could expect her to crayon a cute neko, but the artwork is not even finished that the spectator hands down its verdict… bingo! It’s well and truly the pretty Saylor Moon that the artist sketched on this paper, blank just few instants ago.

The meeting draws to a close and she reminds us the promise she made at the start of the conference: "I won’t die as long as I don’t come back to Paris at Japan Expo!”… A bit gloomy but so cute, don’t you think?
