The Okayama Art Summit is a triennial exhibition of international contemporary art held in Okayama City, which aims to use art to bring about the diverse exchange of ideas and interactions across borders, cultures, and generations.
The first Okayama Art Summit was a great success, welcoming artist Liam GILLICK as artistic director, and exhibiting a wide range of works from 31 artists from 16 countries around the world.
Pierre HUYGHE, an artist born in France and internationally active from his base in New York, was appointed as the artistic director for Okayama Art Summit 2019
The event will be held at various venues in Okayama City over two months, from Friday September 27 to Sunday November 24, 2019.
