Introduction to the art of transformation with K. Torishima, K. Nakatsuru and P. Borg
Why does the world love Son Goku? Kazuhiko Torishima, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru and Patrick Borg discuss the popularity of Dragon Ball in France and the favorite characters of the French.
KAZUHIKO TORISHIMA
Kazuhiko Torishima's track record is a sight to behold:
As a publisher, he brought Akira Toriyama out of the shadows and played an active part in the development of DRAGON BALL and Dr.SLUMP during their publication. After sponsoring success after success, both in manga and video games, this characterful personality, initially perceived as an atypical outsider to the world of manga, made his mark on the history of Weekly Shonen Jump and became one of the most important figures in publishing and manga.
KATSUYOSHI NAKATSURU
Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is an animator and chara-designer affiliated with Toei animation since the early 80s.
After working on feature-length animated productions, he gained recognition for his exceptional talent as a key animator, propelling him to important roles in the directing of the Dragon Ball anime adaptation, so much so that by the final third of Dragon Ball Z, all episodes follow his model sheets. He was also in charge of character design for the Digimon series.
PATRICK BORG
At the transition from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z, Brigitte LECORDIER handed over the role of Son Goku to Patrick BORG.
He hasn't left the character since, either in the Dragon Ball Z films or in the sequel to the series: Dragon Ball: Super.
