Born in 1975, Jérôme Alquié grew up with the Japanese cartoons of the 80s (GoldorakAlbatorKnights of the Zodiac...) and developed an early passion for Japanese drawing and animation.

He began his career as an artist in the 2000s, illustrating many of the DVD covers and merchandising for these cult series. Since then, he has been the author of numerous official illustrations (postersmerchandising, etc.) and artbooks related to these series (Ulysse 31, Jayce et les Conquérants de la lumièreInspecteur Gadget are the most recent between 2017 and 2019).

His career in Franco-Belgian comics began in 2011, when he teamed up with scriptwriter Arnaud Dollen on the Surnaturels series, which now has four volumes (published by Delcourt). He is also collaborating with Patrick Sobral (Les Légendaires) on Mythics, a series currently in progress.

Then he met the director of Editions Kana and began the journey to draw the hero of his childhood: Albator!

The series - Albator, Mémoires de l'Arcadia - ends in November 2020 after 3 volumes, and who knows if other heroes won't come to life under Jérôme's pen.

Back with Anaud Dollen, he draws Saint Seiya - Time Odyssey, published by Kana.

Meet Jérôme Alquié and Arnaud Dollen on the Kana booth for signing sessions.
