The Tolkiendil Association brings together French-speaking fans of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, the British author of The Lord of the Rings.
Initially created in 1996, the website now contains over 3,000 pages, more than 1,500 of which are encyclopedic articles on the Middle-earth universe! There's also a wealth of information on the author's life, his invented languages and even translations of his texts, previously unpublished in French.
The association brings together an international community active throughout the French-speaking world via its forum and social networks, offers cultural mediation activities, produces the magazine l'Arc et le Heaume and seeks to organize more and more federative local events.
