To celebrate the 15th birthday of Japan Expo, you can enter the secrets of the Ichimatsu dolls’ making, with the artist Setsuko MATSUMURA. And if you happen to hear some crystal clear and relaxing tones, just follow the sound to the Japanese wind chimes booth!

For this 15th Impact, the WABI SABI area makes room for the japanese traditional dolls, with their serious but sweet expressions. Dressed with a kimono, these Ichimatsu dollsare made by following a four century old tradition. And this summer, master MATSUMURA offers you to watch closely this unique fabrication process!
But that’s not all: the Myôchin Hibashi fûrin are also exhibited at the festival by the members of the Myôchin craftsmen lineage, who specialize in the making of wind chimes!
