A New Wave for the French Manga Scene
In a partnership with Shueisha, the legendary publisher behind Weekly Shonen Jump, a unique competition was launched to spotlight emerging talent from France. The goal? To give young French creators a rare opportunity: getting their work published on the JUMP+ platform (known in France as Manga PLUS), home to global hits like SPY x FAMILY, Dan Da Dan, and Kaiju No. 8.
Over 90 aspiring mangakas rose to the challenge, but only 10 one-shots were selected for their originality and mastery of the manga format. The winners were celebrated during a special ceremony on the Kuri stage, and their works showcased in a dedicated exhibition near the exit of Hall 4.
Don’t wait, check out the top 3 winning one-shots now available on Manga PLUS!
