Activities: A sporting trail!
In the BUDÔ area, you'll discover a multitude of associations, exercises, demonstrations and workshops on a range of Japanese sporting disciplines.
FRANCE KYÛDÔ
During the four days of the festival, you can experience the art of Japanese archery with Kyûdô practitioners who are happy to guide and inform you. You also have the opportunity to observe for yourself the elegance and grace that emanates from the practitioners during archery demonstrations.
AIKIBUDO & KATORI SHINTO RYU
You can discover the martial art of aikibudo, with introductory sessions and demonstrations by members of the dojo! Aikibudo and Katori Shinto Ryû practitioners from all over the Ile de France region will be on hand to welcome you and share their passion. Explore weapons handling alongside the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryû weapons school, one of the oldest in Japan!
LE TEMPLE DU NINJA
Ninjutsu demonstrations will take place regularly throughout the day to give you a glimpse of the range of techniques available in these disciplines.
Afterwards, you'll be able to learn and practice some basic ninjutsu techniques.
The Temple of the Ninja is also a shiatsu center.
SU SHIATSU
Su Shiatsu propose workshops to discover the art of shiatsu, a massage born in Japan at the beginning of the 20th century: shi meaning finger and atsu pressure, this simple, natural discipline consists of applying pressure all over the body to relieve tension, fatigue and pain, and activate our vital force, both physical and mental.
The association also offers workshops in Aunkai, Qi Gong and Wuo Tai.
FÉDÉRATION FRANÇAISE DE KARATÉ
After equipping you with a kimono and belt, the group invites you to follow a warm-up before beginning your training by teaching you the basics of KATA and COMBAT.
At Japan Expo's BUDÔ area, you have the opportunity to try your hand at the art of fencing! On the tatamis of Villepinte, become a swordsman, a samurai!
HAIDONG GUMBO
Haidong Gumdo is the traditional Korean sword martial art. Open to all and multi-faceted, it includes meditation, breathing, combat, codified sequences, cutting, choreographed forms, and for the most expert, two-saber practice and empty-hand techniques. At Japan Expo, this martial art is represented by France Haidong Gumdo!
FRANCE NAGINATA
The naginata resembles a halberd with a curved blade. It's mounted on a pole that can be up to 2 meters long! Come and sharpen your mental and physical discipline by wielding this feudal Japanese weapon.
FUTSU NUSHI NO KAMI
The tenshin shôden katori shintô ryû school, represented by the Futsu Nushi no Kami association, invites you to come and discover this group of disciplines at the origin of many other martial traditions.

LUDOSPORT
Ludosport Paris invites you to come and try out their lightsaber combat initiations and watch their athletes demonstrate their fighting skills throughout the festival.
