Japanese chef Seiichi ITO shows kushikatsuKushi means skewer and katsu, pork – most often – fried in breadcrumbs.

Those small skewers of ingredients fried in breadcrumbs may be prepared with various types of meats (chicken, pork, beef, shrimps, fish…) or vegetables (onions, asparagus, eggplants, mushrooms, pumpkin, sweet potatoes…) but most often kushikatsu will be made of pork and onions.

Seiichi ITO transformed this popular dish into gastronomic food in his restaurant in Paris, Kushikatsu Bon. On Sunday on the Washoku stage, he is showing you a very easy kushikatsu recipe that you can make at home!
