Mitsuhiro ARITA  was born in Fukuoka, Japan and now lives in Tokyo. He studied electronic engineering before becoming an illustrator, and without any education in arts he has started to sketch and to learn the necessary skills by himself.

Mitsuhiro ARITA started his career as a professional illustrator in 1996, and his first project was Pokémon TCG (Trading Card Game), which was still at prototype stage, and from which he designed first five energy marks as well.

Mitsuhiro ARITA's involvement with Final Fantasy started with Kenichi IWAO, who is well known as the planner and creator of Final Fantasy XI. He saw the drawings in ARMS & ARMOR (SHINKIGENSHA, 2004) and wanted Mitsuhiro ARITA to draw the world of Vana’diel: that was the beginning of his work for SQUARE ENIX. Mitsuhiro Arita has worked on Final Fantasy for more than ten years drawing mainly cuts for the articles about worldview but also the announcements about season events.

He also worked on the scenario Seekers of Adoulin (2013) as the in-game cutscenes artist and he rejoined the team again for Final Fantasy XIV to design the Guild Leave Card. During his time at Final Fantasy, he also did almost one hundred card illustrations for the computer card & board game series Culdcept (OMIYA-SOFT, 1997-2016), as well as illustrations for the Guardians of Ga’hoole, Wolves of the beyond, Shark Wars, The Wild Ones series of novels..

During Japan Expo’s 20th anniversary, meet Mitsuhiro ARITA, an artist who likes to sketch and draw whenever he travels away from home. Come to attend his masterclass, his conference with a live drawing and meet him in signing session, as well as on Wacom booth (E148, Hall 5A) for demonstrations!
