Kagurazaka’s geisha
For the very first time, Japan Expo is delighted to welcome three authentic geisha: a unique opportunity to enter the subtle and refined universe of these traditional artists!

Kazuko WATANABE is an okami, owner of a traditional restaurant called Maki and a former geisha. After a 3-year training, she became a geisha at 18 and opened a restaurant in Kagurazaka area, in Tôkyô, at 30.
Chika became a geisha at 20 after she stopped being an office worker. Since the age of 20, she’s owned a bar called Chika like herself.
Momoko has been a geisha for 8 years, since she stopped being an office worker.
