Gaho TAKAHASHI plays the silk strings of koto to take you on a musical trip to traditional Japan and back to now.
Gaho TAKAHASHI started to learn koto when she was 5 years old, with her mother, Utaiku TAKAHASHI. She graduated from Tokyo University of Arts and performed many concerts in Japan, but also abroad, in Austria, France, and Italia. In 2014, she performed at the consulate of Japan in Shangai and a year later at a traditional music festival in Korea.
Her shows take the audience back and forth to the Japan of times past and to our times, performing traditional pieces and modern adaptations. Enjoy the music of Gaho TAKAHASHI’s koto on the Sakura stage!
