Tak! Tak! Tak! A Japanese drums show with Takarabune!
After having seduced India in January and the city of New York last April, these versatile artists make a storming entrance in France at Japan Expo!
With self-mockery and always a lot of style, the Takarabune troupe promises to make you discover Japan from a new perspective! Created almost 20 years ago, in the original region of the awa odori dance: Tokushima, Takarabune blows a wind of modernity on this discipline aged of more than 400 years. The awa odori dance, also known as the the "fool’s dance" people is a captivating art which aims to salute the annual coming of ancestors ‘spirits on earth.
The cultural stage gets animated as soon as Takarabune appears. Feet in tabi, red scarves around the forehead and little flowers behind the head… after few minutes we can already guess that the seven members of the troupe are here to fire the stage.
Dynamic rhythms of the drums in background music, performers gave all they had and transmitted to the public their unbounded energy through dances and music. "Say yeah!!!", "Yeah!!!" choruses the public, seduced by this high in vitamins cocktail proposed by the troupe. Full of happiness and a bit crazy, everything is possible with Takarabune: ribbon, black hats or even fans, they are never in lack of imagination when it comes to surprise their public! Eventually, they put an end to their magnificent performance by leading the public in a twirling parade around the cultural stage... a folkloric instant that will bring you directly to Japan!
To meet them once again, grasp the last chance to see their amazing show at the cultural stage on Saturday at 15:30!
