Biography

TAKAAKI KONNO is a Japanese singer, a composer, and a producer in his own label, T-Toc records, created in 2004. Brought up since the age of 9 in the music world, he started to compose his own music pieces back then. After starting a brilliant career at the age of 19, a terrible accident prevented him from moving forward. Despite the accident, he quickly made a comeback and then released two albums in 2000 and 2005, Reference and Revenge.

He then wore more than one hat and also became an actor and a voice actor. Since 2006, his career has reached a new stage as the music world started to recognize him as a serious producer and Total Sound Artist.

Several singles contributed to this reputation like Amazing Life in 2008, a song reused for some TV shows, or the song Mirai he no Tobira that was written to support the victims of the tsunami in the Tohoku area in 2011.                                                                                                     In 2013, TAKAAKI KONNO organized a seminar in Taiwan on Japan’s music industry named Music Business Seminar. He was rewarded by the Taiwanese government.

In 2015, he decided to release a 3rd album. The front cover reserved a little surprise to his fans: TAKAAKI KONNO appeared as a woman.

This videoclip is showing TAKAAKI KONNO’s song Gegege no Kitarou, a cover song coming from the anime. That title is part of KONNO’s new album, Anime Uta, that is presenting cover songs of anime from the 80’s.
