Orange Port
The idol band Orange Port is coming to represent their city of Numazu at Japan Expo and perform on stage of course!
biography
Orange Port is an idol band created from the concept of “local to worldwide”, by the music producer YANAGIMAN. He’s worked with artists such as Funkey Monkey Babys, Ketsumeishi, Miliyah Kato and has won 3 Japan Record Awards.
Orange Port members have been chosen among 130 entrants at a public audition organized in August 2012, in Numazu, in Shizuoka prefecture, south of Tôkyô. The 13 girls aged from 11 to 18 all come from north Shizuoka. Their first album, Go with You, was released in 2013 and they often take part in local TV shows.
They give very few gigs in Tôkyô and are very much attached to their city, Numazu, where they perform most of the time. About a year after they were created, they performed about 200 times.
With choreographies that surprised even TAKAHIRO, a world famous Japanese dancer working with Madonna, and producer YANAGIMAN’s music, Orange Port is a promising band.
