biography
LOKA is an alternative hard rock band from Tôkyô. As a clever mix of synthesizer and drum beats, their music is getting more and more popular and has invaded the clubs.
LOKA first performed on June 9, 2012: at the time, there was only two official members, the singer Kihiro (former singer of the band Supe who had toured for more than 50 gigs in the USA) and the drummer KEN’ICHI, who took an extra bassist and an exra guitarist on stage. Two months later, their first EP, 01 (pronounce"zero one"), was released, right before the beginning of a Japanese tour in September. Asthe tour was in full swing, they released their first album, EnFLAME, and kept on with the gigs (more than 40 in all) until the end of the year.
In April 2013, Katsumi joined them as the official bassist of the band, before another Japanese tour and a first gig outside Japan at the FORMOZ FESTIVAL in Taiwan, and then came SIN the guitarist.
After a big Japanese tour and a few gigs across Asia, LOKA decided to conquer Europe with a first tour at fall 2013, going to Brussels at Japan Expo Belgium among other gigs! Though the band is still young, they have already charmed the audience thanks to explosice music style and performances on stage.
