biography
It was right after the encounter between the singer rie and the cinema and anime music composer Yutaka ISHII (who is also the recording and touring guitarist of many artists, such as AKB 48, Momoiro Clover Z, AAA, Johnny’s, Shoko NAKAGAWA, Nami TAMAKI, Nana MIZUKI, and also Hiroyuki TAKAMI) that the band Glowlamp was founded. The touring members Takuto NIKAIDÔ (bass player) and Tomokazu TSUCHIYA (drummer) joined the band in 2009.
The band’s name, Glowlamp, comes from neon tubes bulbs, without which the fluorescent colors don’t light on. Their concept “Light your fire” means “a song that lights up the heart of those who listen to it”.
With their melodies, so catchy you cannot get the songs out of your head once you listen to them, and all the positive energy that ensues from the lyrics, their live performances have an already established reputation. Since 2009, they held 12 times the event Shall We Pop?, reserved to bands with a female singer.
