Biography

redjuice is an illustrator and designer from Kochi prefecture.

His online collaboration with the groups supercell and livetune has made him reach the top of hype illustrators, offering new opportunities to him in manga and press illustration, but also video games and animation as a chara-designer.

In 2015, he’s been in charge of the chara-design of the Project Itoh trilogy: Genocidal Organ, Harmony, and The Empire of Corpses. Though the 3 novels are adapted by different studios, redjuice is the link between them through the graphic style he gives to the characters.

Project Itoh

Keikaku Itoh (keikaku meaning project in Japanese) is a writer born in Tokyo in 1974. In 2007, he made his debut with the novel Genocidal Organ which was rewarded with the first prize of Best SF from SF magazine. His second novel, Harmony, won both the Seiun prize and Japan SF. The English version won a special prize from the Philip K. Dick prize. After a long fight against cancer, Project Itoh died at age 34.

Only the first 30 pages of his latest novel, The Empire of Corpses, had been written when he passed but his work was taken over by Toh EnJoe.

Project Itoh is the adaptation of this 3 novels as animation films. Recently, The Empire of Corpses and Harmony have been selected for the Festival International du Film Fantastique de Gérardmer.
