The company TENKUI, which manages live house in Japan, is launching in partnership with Japan Expo a big talent contest for J-rock artists: Japan Expo Rocks!
From January 12 and until late April, the new generation of J-rock is entering the competition: all Japanese bands and artists performing in live houses in Japan can be part of it.
The first stage of selections took place in January, and the second in February: at each stage, the audience will be invited to vote for the bands who continue the adventure. From the quarter finals, in March, a professional jury will take over and choose the entrants for the semi-finals in early April, the finals in late April, and eventually the winner of the finals on April 29, 2017.
The winning band or artist will perform live on the Karasu stage at Japan Expo 18th Impact next July. Here comes the new generation of J-rock!
