The WABI SABI area is dedicated to Japanese culture and traditions with an exhibit, demonstrations, and more than 60 artists and craftsmen who have come all the way from Japan! And you can also discover performing artists on the Sakura stage!

Since 2011, WABI SABI immerses Japan Expo’s attendees deep into the most beautiful and enchanting aspects of Japanese culture. From painting to photography or calligraphy, craftworks and many other types of arts and crafts like dolls. Fashion creations are exhibited next to delicate decoration objects, in total harmony with the aesthetic values of WABI SABI.
The Sakura Stage features stunning performances:
- Miho, Kuramochi IBUKI, Rio HARUKI and KIRIE will be here for live painting and demonstrations of calligraphy
- Bentenya, TAKARABUNE and Yoshiwara Kitsune Shachu are waiting for you for funny show with Japanese traditional dances
- Kikakuya will be here for a kabuki show
- Gaho TAKAHASHI offers you a performance of koto
- Katanaya Ichi offers you swordplay demonstrations
- Misaki IWASA, Miô, Hiroshima Peace, MIZMO and Xiè will make you discover unknown traditional Japanese songs like shigin ou le kobushi
- Fûka MARIWO and NEO Ballad will be here for concerts of pop, folk & techno rock
