Record holder of the larger number of titles held simultaneously, the catcher Último Dragón is a worldwide legend in the world of wrestling. He comes to Japan Expo this Summer and gives impressive demonstrations! Meet him during signing sessions!

Último Dragón is puroresu legend –the shortened version of purofesshonaru resuringu (professional wrestling)-. With 5’8’’ and 84 kg, this Japanese wrestler trained at the New Japan Pro Wrestling dojo is known throughout the world. He’s an expert of the Lucha Libre, a style that he learnt and developed when he was living in Mexico. He invented and popularized the move Asai Moonsault.

He wrestled with the biggest world federations in Japan (New Japan, All Japan, Toryumon, Dragongate, Michinoku…), in the USA (WWE, WCW, NWA…) and in Mexico (AAA, CMLL…).

Último Dragón still is a real superstar: he holds the world wrestling record of the largest number of titles held simultaneously. As a matter of fact, in October of 1996, at the time he won the J-Crown (championshop unifying eight junior heavyweight/cruiserweight titles from several different organizations), he was already the NWA middleweight Champion. A few weeks later, he became the WCW lightweight Champion. That’s how he became the only wrestler in World Wrestling Federation history to hold ten Champion titles simultaneously.

Último Dragón is the symbol of the wrestling style called Lucharesu, a mixture of puroresu withlucha libre. He also is a famous coach whose pupils then became lucharesu masters, notably within the Dragongate, a Federation that took its inspiration from Último Dragón.

Meet this legend of wrestling on Friday during signing sessions!
