Eisaku Inoue and Keiichi Ichikawa, two eminent animation directors of the One Piece anime, will give a talk about their work on the series.

Eisaku Inoue made his first steps by working for subcontractors of Toei Animation. His work got noticed at Toei Animation, so much so that they made him an offer to work on Saint Seiya. As an animation director, his work has contributed significantly to establishing the visual identity of the series while respecting Shingo Araki's designs. Eisaku Inoue is one of the artists who shaped the adaptation of the flagship manga of Shônen Jump into anime. He was also in charge of the character design for three One Piece moviesOne Piece Movie 2: Clockwork Island AdventureOne Piece Movie 7: Mega Mecha Soldier Of Karakuri Castle, and One Piece Movie: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta, on which he was able to offer his own take on the work of Eiichirô Oda.

Keiichi Ichikawa began his career in the animation studio of the great Shingo Araki, Araki Productions. Thus, he quickly starts to work on productions by Toei Animation, such as the 1996 GeGeGe no Kitaro anime or The Kindaichi Case Files TV series. Since 2017, Keiichi Ichikawa has been the Chief Animation Director of the One Piece TV series, the most important position an animator can occupy. His role is essential in ensuring the visual quality of one of the most popular series ever.
