The art of Japanese swordsmanship reveals two of its fineries at the 15th Impact of Japan Expo: an iaidô and zanshi demonstration, the great art of swordscutting.

Eliza MEEKER, expert chuden and 7th dan in the art of Japanese swordsmanship, comes at Japan Expo to share with you the practice of the sword in all its gestural beauty. Her pupils accompany her, as well as Colin YOUNG, the official representative of the Shodai Ryu Zanshi of Great Britain.
The art of iaidô resides in the way of unsheathing the sword and in the accuracy of the cut, whereas the zanshi is more of a traditional cutting exercise for new swords, to test them before giving them to their owners.
