Behind the scenes: Little Amélie or the Character of Rain

For Japan Expo, a conference is devoted to the film Little Amélie or the Character of Rain, in the presence of several members of the artistic team.

They talk about the various stages in the film's creation: writing and directing, art direction (including sets), music, character design and animation. It's a meeting that takes the audience behind the scenes of production, and sheds light on the choices that shape the film's visual and narrative universe.

Amélie is a little Belgian girl born in Japan. Thanks to her friend Nishio-san, the world is full of adventure and discovery. But on her third birthday, something happens that changes the course of her life. For Amélie, everything happens at that age, from happiness to tragedy.

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain is adapted from the novel by Amélie Nothomb.
