Disciple of the famous Masateru ANDO, Gaho TAKAHASHI first learnt koto (traditional Japanese music intrument) at the age of 5 from her mother, Utaiku TAKAHASHI, before graduating from Tokyo University of Arts ans Music.

Since then, she performed all over the world at many concerts in Japan and abroad. For exemple, in 2003, she played at the famous Konzerthaus hall in Vienna. Her performances will make you travel to ancient Japan, with sometimes folkloric sounds and sometimes modern ones by playing traditional pieces and modern adaptations.
