Sakurazaka46

Sakurazaka46 was born in August 2015 as Keyakizaka46, the second group in the "Sakamichi Series" following Nogizaka46, after an audition of 22,509 applicants.

They debuted with their first single, Silent Majority, on April 6, 2016. The song holds the all-time record for first-week sales for a female artist. Later that year, eight months after their debut, they made their first appearance at the 67th Kohaku Uta Gassen.

Keyakizaka46's activities came to an end with the concert "KEYAKIZAKA46 THE LAST LIVE" held in October 2020.

 The group took the name Sakurazaka46 and started their activities on October 14, 2020.

In December of the same year, they released their debut single, Nobody's Fault, which reached number one in the weekly Oricon singles chart.

In April 2021, they released their second single, BAN, followed by their third single, Nagaredama, and in December held their "1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY LIVE" concert at Nippon Budokan.

In April 2022, the group released their fourth single, Samidare yo, making it their fourth consecutive single to top the weekly Oricon chart. In August of the same year, they released their first album since their name change, As you know? which was a huge success. They also launched a TikTok channel on which they posted several dances, allowing them to communicate with their fans abroad.

In 2023, they released their fifth single, Sakurazuki, which topped the charts on several streaming platforms.

June 28, 2023, sees the release of their next single, Start over!

The visual concept of the artist's photo is "Make Awesome Noise". Located in Shibuya, Tokyo, which is also the starting point for Keyakizaka46, the visual concept uses "NeRF" (Neural Radiance Fields), a cutting-edge technology that uses artificial intelligence to generate a three-dimensional space from multiple photographs to represent Sakurazaka46 in the scanned Shibuya district, as an entity whose sound spreads from Shibuya to Tokyo, to all of Japan and the rest of the world.

On November 25 and 26, the group will perform for the first time at Chiba's ZOZO Marine Stadium.

Sakurazaka46 has chosen Japan Expo as the venue for their first international performance, don't miss their live on Saturday, July 15th, on the Ichigo stage!
