AKARA, invited by Wabi Sabi, is a rock band using traditional Japanese instruments.

AKARA is a four-person rock band, namely a female singer and three musicians, each using a traditional Japanese instrument such as a Koto, a Shinobue (bamboo flute), a Nokan (a No flute), and a Tsuzumi (drum).
Combining the intensity of rock with the gentleness of traditional instruments, the band defines its style as "J-trad Rock".
The group was formed in 2014 around the multilingual singer MIKIKO.
AKARA are recurrent guests of Japan Expo, and this year they're coming back on stage at Japan Expo!
