We are delighted to receive Yoh Yoshinari, character designer and director at Studio Trigger, at Japan Expo to talk about his work on the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, in the company of Naoko Tsutsumi and the CD PROJEKT RED team.

Yoh Yoshinari is considered a legendary animator and character designer among his peers. He animated his first scenes while still in high school, helping out his big brother, the equally respected Kou Yoshinari. Yoh Yoshinari soon made a name for himself, particularly for his mecha animation on Neon Genesis Evangelion. During the production of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, his ability to draw in a flash any idea proposed to him earned him the nickname "the Dream Factory" from his colleagues.

When he joined Studio Trigger at its founding, following his long-time coworker director Hiroyuki Imaishi, Yoh Yoshinari made his directorial debut on the Little Witch Academia OVAs, which were later followed by a TV series, and the anime series BNA.

Yoh Yoshinari is one of Studio Trigger's leading personalities and a true star in the industry, so it was only natural that he should take on the role of lead character designer and chief animation director on the ambitious collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Meet him on the Yuzu stage for a panel on Saturday, July 15, and at signing sessions on Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15.
