Sourya

Sourya was born in France, but grew up in his native Laos until he was 15. A lifelong fan of drawing, he was strongly influenced by manga during his teenage years, thanks in particular to the masters Toriyama, Miyazaki and Takahashi. On his return to France, he turned to studies in animated film, where he developed his graphic skills and his sense of storytelling.

He spent a year in artist residency at the Maison des Auteurs, during which time he was spotted by Ankama to work with Florent Maudoux on Rouge, the Freaks Squeele spin-off. Sourya then continued his adventure in comics, working on projects for Doggybags among others, and in 2018 signed his first manga (with him as both illustrator and scriptwriter): Talli, Fille de la Lune.

For Third Editions, he has illustrated the covers of several books.
