Biography

Born in 1977 in Japon, Yoshiyasu TAMURA started illustrating manga at 15 and made his professional debut in Monthly Shonen Jump magazine in 2003 with Fudegami.

In parallel, he is also a painter, exhibiting in Takashi MURAKAMI’s gallery Higashi Zingaro, and later in Bâle, Taipei, Los Angeles, New York City, or Florence. A boundless artist, he collaborated with the brand McQ: Alexander McQueen or with the Ukrainian photographer Marfa Vasilieva, made live painting murals, and transmits his knowledge in manga schools worldwide.

He’s currently living between Europe and Japan to manage both his careers at once.

Yoshiyasu TAMURA will be part of the panel dedicated to Devil’s Relics, a manga created by Maître Gims, on which he has worked alongside the singer, Darcy, and the writer Jean-David MORVAN. The panel will take place on Saturday on the Yuzu stage.
