Séléna Mercier

Séléna was born in France and grew up in the Paris region. Initially lulled by heroic fantasy through games like Zelda, novels by Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian and series like Wakfu, it wasn't until the end of secondary school that she discovered manga through the controversial Fairy Tail, and realized that her father had already been introducing her to Naruto anime for years.

At the same time, her passion for drawing came naturally. After taking an art option and saying to herself: "I want to do manga", she went down to Toulouse to enroll at EIMA. There she met many people, but two in particular: Nakashima Chiharu, her sensei who taught her everything, and Marie Desnoyer, among others, her best deadline partner. During her student years, inspired by manga such as Shirayuki aux cheveux rouges and Welcome to the Ballroom, she wanted to write romances that always ended up with more serious subjects than expected.

Then in 2022, as part of her manga specialization, she and Marie decided to try their hand at a duo project on the Second World War entitled Réseau Alexis, now signed by Ankama.
