Disney LORCANA Tournament - Rules
Specific Format Rules : 2V2 Constructed Format
ROUND PROGRESSION
Each round is played in BO1 (Best of One).
At the end of the regulation time for a round (45 minutes), 5 additional turns are granted. Once these are completed, the team with the most Lore Shards wins. In case of a tie, the game continues in "sudden death," with the first team to score an additional Lore Shard winning.
GAME RULES
Each player within the same team counts their Lore Shards separately. The first team to accumulate a total of 30 Lore Shards wins.
The deck, hand, ink pool, discard pile, and cards in play belong solely to their respective player.
DECK CONSTRUCTION
Players must build their own deck prior to the event. It must share at least one color with their teammate, but standard deck-building constraints apply to their combined deck.
If a team brings one Ruby Amethyst deck and one Ruby Sapphire deck, the players of that team share the constraint of a maximum of four copies of any card. So, if the first player has two copies of "Be Prepared," their teammate can only have two copies at most as well.
As this is a constructed format, banned cards cannot be used in this event.
COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PLAYERS
Players on the same team are not allowed to show their hand to one another. Players may only communicate publicly, and any information must be shared openly with the other team.
Each player must sit across from and next to an opponent.
TURN PROGRESSION
The first team to play is determined randomly.
Players on the same team take their turn simultaneously. Their Ready, Verify, and Draw phases happen at the same time. They can perform their actions in any order during their shared turn.
All game effects go into the bag at the same time, and players on the same team are considered as a single active player during the resolution of those effects.
Players on the same team are not considered opponents. Effects that refer to "each opponent" or "each player" affect them separately.
TCG tournaments are organized in partnership with PARKAGE.
