Sand art
The practice of Sand art consists in throwing or inlaying colored sand on glass, by drawing on it many different forms and shapes. Glass works are made by inlaying grains of sand underneath the work, according to the precise geometric forms or the landscapes represented.
As for the creation of paintings, there is also a colored sand projection process, directly made on canvas. Thus, each grain of sand draws the details of a colorful work.
Master Ako TSUBAKI
This year, Master Ako TSUBAKI comes at Japan Expo to exhibit his glass works and his paintings representing Buddhist images. It’s also your opportunity to see many different works that are the result of a collaboration between master Ako and master Kurisaki, a fabric dolls’ creator.
