Crypton Future Media Presents Hatsune Miku

Hatsune Miku was first born as “singing software”. Soon after its release, not only its singing voice but “the character on the package” has attracted a great deal of attention. Having been inspired by its existence, a lot of users created various songs and illustrations.

Nowadays, based on such works, various businesses have developed, for example, merchandise such as figures and stationery, books, collaborations with fashion brands, video games and concerts using 3D computer graphics. Such business development has been recognized by a number of fans and Hatsune Miku has now become a popular icon of new global entertainment culture.

At the Hatsune Miku booth at Japan Expo this year, an exhibition space and an official shop where attendees can fully enjoy such creative culture and works by creators will be offered.

At the exhibition space, a life-size Hatsune Miku figure designed by illustrator iXima is to appear for the first time in Europe and illustrations by popular illustrators are to be displayed. A special photo spot for taking commemorative photographs will also be set up, so visitors are encouraged to come to the booth in cosplay costume of Crypton’s characters (Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO).

Also at the official shop, rare goods sold only in Japan, collector’s items using creators’ works, apparel, accessories and more will be available for sales.
