Okiagari koboshi are both traditional weeble dolls from the Fukushima region and a support project to Fukushima launched by the Okiagari Koboshi Project association created by Kenzo TAKADA, the founder of the brand KENZO. Okiagari koboshi can get back up whenever they fall: a strong symbol for Fukushima people.

The dolls exhibited at Japan Expo have been decorated by mangaka, an action lead by the president of Japan’s mangaka association, Tetsuya CHIBA, the author of the well-known Ashita no Jo. Come have a look at their creations and take part in workshops to create your own doll.
