Wirru

Wirru is an Australian male cosplayer who has been cosplaying for 9 years. He started with wardrobe cosplays like Shinji Ikari. Wirru started trying to make costumes in 2008 and fell in love with the process of making everything from scratch as well as performing on stage.

Since then he has won Madman National Cosplay Championships 2010 and 2014, and represented Australia in World Cosplay Summit in 2012. His specialties are armor building, designing, and painting. While he's not making his own costumes, Wirru loves to teach others his methods with tutorials, books, videos and workshops. Please say hi to him at Japan Expo!

At Japan Expo, he will give a cosplay workshop on Friday about armors and props on the Yuzu stage at 11.30 am, July 3. He is also part of the jury for the ECG finals on Saturday, July 4 and will be meeting you on his booth (5A - U36): come chat with him, take pictures and get books about how to make cosplay armors.
