Biography
Founded in 2012, Baby Raids JAPAN created a new kind of music called “Emotional Idorock”, a mix of idol and rock music. Simply called Baby Raids at first, this group made of 5 girls had to hold a live performance at Nippon Budokan, one of Tokyo's biggest concert hall, within 2 years.
In 2013, one of their songs, Koyomi no ue dewa December, was used for the opening of Ama-chan, a Japanese television drama series aired on NHK. Then, the group reached the 6th rank on the Oricon Singles Chart. After that, they held two concerts: at Shinkiba in 2013 and at Hibiya in 2014, and gained an ever-growing number of fans.
Baby Raids faced the challenge to collect 10,000 signatures during the summer of 2014 to get their first concert at Nippon Budokan. The girls succeeded with 13,872 signatures. In 2015, the girls appeared with a new look and the group took the name of Baby Raids JAPAN. They started a new kind of music called “Emotional Idorock” to break the image of idols. Their latest live tour took the name of Road to Emotional Idorock Fes.
