Nihon Budo Watanabe Ryu
Master Mitsuru WATANABE and nihon budô clubs invite you to discover nihon budô, a martial art inspired from several Japanese martial arts.
presentation
Nihon budô was founded on the idea of Master Minoru MOCHIZUKI who wanted to bring together all budô (Japanese martial arts) like iai, kenjutsu, kobudô, ju-jitsu, aiki-ju-jutsu, etc. Then, Haruyoshi WATANABE created nihon budô not in order to develop a new school but to focus on effectiveness rather than the "show".
The nihon budô taught by Ryu WATANABE develops on the basis of 3 elements:
- The art of self-defense (aiki-ju-jutsu),
- The art of combat (kenpo taijutsu),
- The art of the sword and kobudô (iai kenjutsu kobudô).
Those 3 elements teach you the best way to fight in every situation. They also help to make progress on the way of martial arts with simple concepts to assimilate every technique.
Program
Nihon budô clubs and Master Mitsuru WATANABE will be attending Japan Expo for demonstrations of this martial art. If if you are brave enough, you can also give it a try! See you at the Budo area, on the tatami.
