PRESENTATION
Fuka MARIWO learned shamisen, a Japanese musical instrument similar to a long lute, graduated from Tokyo's University of Arts and qualified as a music teacher. She, then, specialised to nagauta, a kind of traditional Japanese music which accompanies kabuki theater or buyô.
She is known in the world of Japanese classical music for her crystal-clear voice and her performances of shamisen which has low tones that perfectly melts with her voice. Often dressed up with traditional Japanese clothes, her show at Japan Expo last year kept the attention of the public.
