Yoko TAKAHASHI made her debut with P.S. I miss you from a major label as a solo singer in 1991 and won the Japan Record Awards Rookie Award and an award from the Japan Cable Awards. Before that, she had activities as a studio musician while taking part in back chorus at the concerts of Toshinobu KUBOTA, Yumi MATSUTOYA, and others.

Major work are Zankokuna Tenshi no Te-ze (A Cruel Angel's Thesis; 1995), which is a opening theme of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION animation series, the theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth from last year and Tamashii no Rufuran (Soul's Refrain; 1996). These two songs are still selling even in 2018. Total sales reached 1.5 million copies in 2017.
