Presentation

The taiko player Ichitarô first learned the art of taiko (Japanese drums) with the Ondekoza troupe, in which he became the first drum. In 2004, he began a solo career which later led him to perform in 2006 at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, but also in 2008 for the opening ceremony of the World Sumo Wrestling Championships in Estonia.

In addition to his talent as a percussionist, Ichitarô is also known for his compositions that are not confined to the traditional Japanese style. He also mixes more modern musical styles such as jazz. During his concerts, Ichitarô captivates his audience with his boundless energy and showman skills. After several appearances all over the world, and lately in Germany and Northern Europe, his current objective is to develop his activities in France.

After having thrilled his audience in Paris during his first French tour in 2018, he returns this summer for the 20th anniversary of Japan Expo. So, don’t miss his performance on stage and meet him in signings
