Yoko TAKAHASHI made her debut with P.S. I miss you from a major label as a solo singer in 1991 and won the Japan Record Awards Rookie Award and an award from the Japan Cable Awards. Before that, she had activities as a studio musician while taking part in back chorus at the concerts of Toshinobu KUBOTA, Yumi MATSUTOYA, and others.

Her major works are Zankokuna Tenshi no Te-ze (A Cruel Angel's Thesis; 1995), the opening theme of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION animation series, and Tamashii no Rufuran (Soul's Refrain; 1996). These two songs are still selling to this day and the total sales added up to 1.5 million copies in 2017.

She performed the opening act in KING SUPER LIVE, a show held in SAITAMA SUPER ALINA in June 2015 and as a guest singer in Los Angeles AX2015, the biggest anime related convention in North America.

In March 2016, she released the maxisingle Welcome to the Stage. It is the theme of Shin Godzilla vs EVANGELION and is produced by Shiro SAGISU. The illustrated record jacket by Moyoco ANNO attracted much attention. In 2017, she performed in the Shin Godzilla vs EVANGELION symphony concert in BUNKAMURA Orchard Hall. The performance was released as a CD from King Records.

While animation and anime songs are becoming more and more important in Japanese culture, Yoko TAKAHASHI is expanding the field of her activities to the world. To this day, she has released 25 singles, 13 albums, and 8 best albums.

Yoko TAKAHASHI will be joining all anisong fans at Japan Expo! She will be performing on stage with a showcase and meeting the public at a signing.
