Biography

Born in 1969, Jean-David MORVAN is one of the most prolific comics writers of his generation. He first tried to become an illustrator but gave up his studies to become a scenario writer. He published his first pieces in a fanzine where he met Yann LE GALL. In 2001, they released the series Zorn et Dirna together. In 1994, he published Nomad with Sylvain SAVOIA. The Sillage series, started in 1998 with the illustrator Philippe BUCHET, was an instant success. He is also the author of the series Troll, HK, Al Togo, Reality Show, and Je suis morte. In 2009, he won a Silver Award at the Prix international du manga (manga international award) for Zaya.

In 2013, with Glénat, he wrote a sequel to the Nomad series, Nomad 2.0 with the illustrator Julien CARETTE. The following year, still with Glénat, he wrote Sherlock Fox (illustrated by Yu DU), SpyGames (illustrated by Jung-Gi KIM), and a history comics about Jean JAURÈS.

Jean-David MORVAN will be part of the panel dedicated to Devil’s Relics, a manga created by Maître Gims, on which he has worked alongside the singer, Darcy, and the mangaka Yoshiyasu TAMURA. The panel will take place on Saturday on the Yuzu stage.
