MIREI has always had a gift for music and dancing. When she was only 10 years old, she won Japan’s biggest dance competition and performed in New York’s trendiest clubs at the age of 13. A year later, she joined the Gospel for Teens choirs, conducted by american producer Vy Higginsen. This group received many prizes and even got an Emmy for a documentary that was broadcasted on CBS. The same year, MIREI ranked first during the legendary Amateur Night at Apollo Theater and released her US debut single, Tattoo. Her Japanese debut single, Fallin’ Out/I Wanna No feat. SHUN, came out on June 25th, 2015, and quickly scored #1 on iTunes, followed by her 12 song debut album titled My Way

Following her next single, By Your Side, in 2016, MIREI performed live several times in US major cities during conventions about Japanese pop culture. She performed her original songs as well as covers of the biggest american hits, such as Shelter by Porter Robinson and Madeon, Formation by Beyoncé, and Now or Never by Halsey. In 2017, she was cast as a main protagonist for the hip hop musical based on Sion Sono’s blockbuster titled Tokyo Tribe.

On March 7th 2018, MIREI released her latest single, Dear My Boo, which was an answer song to Shota Shimizu’s hit, My Boo. Her song scored #1 on iTunes again and was also ranked first on LINE MUSIC. The official movie video was viewed more than 1.5 million times in 10 days on YouTube!

MIREI always proves that she belongs to the international music scene and wishes to perform across the whole world. This July, she will be attending Japan Expo from Thursday to Saturday! As part of the J-music Springboards, she will set Japan Expo’s Karasu stage on fire during two showcases, and will invite you to discover her work at panels. You'll also be able to meet her at signings and photocalls!
