After graduating from the French Gobelins school in 2001, Eddie MEHONG started working at Marathon Média on the series Martin Mystery and Team Galaxy, realizing the main character design for the latter. He also supervised the Totally Spies! movie. As a freelancer, he collaborated with studios Neomis Animation, Antefilms Production, and Ankama.

In 2004, he left for a year to Japan to learn the techniques of Japanese animation at studio Telecom Animation Film with Hayao MIYAZAKI’s "sempai", Yasuo ÔTSUKA. Back to Japan in 2007, he worked at Satelight as an animator on Macross Frontier and other series.

In 2008, he launched the animation studio Ankama Japan and helped to develop international programs. 4 years later, he became a freelance animator for TMS (Lupin, Case Closed,Zetman...), 8-Bit, A-1 Pictures, studio Bones, Asahi Production, or Madhouse.

Eddie MEHONG is currently part of the studio Yapiko which he created with Japanese and French friends. They’re using their experience to develop Japanese animation in foreign countries.
